J&K Bank organizes Baramulla DLRC/DCC meet

J&K Bank conducted a District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting of the district to review the achievements made during the first quarter of the current fiscal under the annual District Credit Plan (DCP) for the financial year 2019-20.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo chaired the DLRC/DCC meeting, organised by the bank’s Baramulla Lead Bank office and attended by the representatives of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), other banks operating in the district and various line departments.

Lead District Manager (LDM) Baramulla Shamim Ahmad Haji informed the house that the district had recorded an achievement of Rs 660.46 Cr against the annual target of Rs 2909.61 Cr as laid down in the credit plan during the first quarter of the financial year.

Giving a sector-wise break-up of the achievements, the LDM informed the gathering that against the annual target of Rs 1506.79 Cr, an achievement of Rs 275.56 Cr was made in the agriculture sector during the quarter under review in the district.

Under MSME Sector an achievement of Rs 76.32 Cr was recorded against the annual target of Rs 518.05 Cr. The Service Sector and Non-Priority Sector recorded an achievement of Rs 47.87 Cr and Rs 260.71 Cr against the target of Rs 302.48 Cr and Rs 582.29 Cr respectively, he added.
 
The LDM also informed the house that the Priority Sector Advances of the district stood at Rs 2663.18 Cr or 64.26 pc of the total Advances while the CD ratio of the district was 80.62 Pc as on June 30, 2019. Besides, 22392 beneficiaries were benefited through various schemes under the DCP.  

Chairman DLRC/DCC advised all the banks and the sponsoring agencies to work with cooperation, coordination and cohesion for the development and progress of the area and to achieve the desired financial goals besides helping generate employment for the youth of the district.

He also directed all the line departments and banks to conduct programs at village and block levels to generate proper financial awareness among the people.
