J&K Bank opens 2nd ATM at SMVDU Katra

The Jammu & Kashmir Bank today commissioned its second ATM at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University campus. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sanjeev Jain inaugurated the machine in presence of J&k Bank Zonal Head Sudhir Gupta , Faculty members and students of SMVDU.

The Vice Chancellor appreciated the outreach of the bank to provide state of the art digital banking facilities to the students, faculty members and the locals of the adjoining areas. Notably, this ATM with a higher capacity of disbursal has been installed in the academic area in view of the increased usage of J&K bank facilities on the campus and also to facilitate the local populace of the six adjoining villages in the vicinity of the university.

The Zonal Head Mr. Sudhir Gupta delineated the Customer Centric vision of Parvez Ahmed, Chairman and CEO of the Bank to provide all forms of electronic channels, be it ATMs, net banking and mobile banking, for the benefit of the customers in all the nook and corners of the state. The strategic vision of the Chairman he added was to have a greater industry academia partnership especially universities like SMVDU, BGSBU in the region which were playing a key role in skilling the population of the state.

Pertinently, the bank is exploring the possibility of opening a specialized Business Unit at the Shri mata Vaishno Devi Narayna Hospital in the near term to provide the doorstep facilities to the super specialty hospital.
