Parvez Ahmed launches Bajaj Allianz Health and Wellness Card. Pitches for hedging business risk through customized insurance products

J&K Bank Chairman and CEO Parvez Ahmed made these remarks today at the launch of Bajaj Allianz Health and Wellness Card here at Taj Vivanta in presence of CEO & MD Bajaj Allianz Tapan Singhal, its Regional Head Aijaz Khan, J&K Bank Executive Presidents, Senior Presidents, Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Zonal Heads, Insurance coordinators and other officers of the bank and Bajaj Allianz.

The product features include in-patient hospitalization treatment including pre and post hospitalization, road ambulance, day care procedures, organ donor expenses, sum insured reinstatement benefit, hospital cash benefit, preventive health checkup, ayurvedic and homeopathic hospitalization expenses.

With Health and Wellness Card at Bajaj Allianz’ tie up centers, one can also availcashless hospitalization, discounts on OPD consultation, discounts on blood , radiological , pathological investigations, discounts on dental consultations and other dental procedures discounts on specs, lenses , etc., access to wellness portal to track your health and make it better and discounts on annual health check-ups.

Congratulating the bank’s long-time general insurance partners for launching the Health and Wellness Card, Chairman Parvez Ahmed, who was also the chief guest on the occasion, said, “Credibility of the partner is judged only in times of crises and Bajaj Allianz has proved its credentials as a reliable partner time and gain since 2005; first after the destructive earthquake and then during the devastating September floods in 2014. And as a partner we all truly appreciate their work in the state at these crucial junctures.”

“Going forward from here, we need to hedge businesses here in the valley. Our bank has got a huge business here running in thousands of crores besides other businesses across the valley having colossal value in monetary and other terms. And all these businesses operate in a fragile environment which can be covered with highly customized insurance products. Besides, we need to identify and address gaps in the systems and procedures on both sides of the partnerships so that we are able to serve our clientele better and improve both our bottom-line and brand image”, he added.

Commenting on the product, Chairman Parvez Ahmed said, “All our operative levels must remain alive to the needs and expectations of our customers. They must make the customers aware about the features of the product and educate them about its significance in the current times. More importantly, they need to have proper consent from the customers after presenting pros and cons of the product.”

Earlier, MD & CEO Bajaj Allianz Tapan Singhal in his presidential remarks said, “Insurance products are essentially products with no returns for the idea is to sell protection and cover risks; business is only incidental. And when it is about the risks involving one’s life and health then quality of service should be the central concern. Today, this Health and Wellness Card is a sincere gesture from Bajaj Allianz towards the people of this state, who have always been warm and welcoming to us more almost 15 years now.”

The function concluded with a Vote Of Thanks from the bank’s Exertive President Abdul Rauf, who thanked all the participants for their valuable presence.

He also urged the leadership of Bajaj Allianz to speed up their exercise of doing tie-ups with the local hospitals, health centers and nursing homes so that the Health and Wellness Card serves the interests of our customers in the best possible way.

In response to Chairman Parvez Ahmed’s offer to fore-go a part of commission in favour of creating sound employment packages for talented local youth, CEO Tapan Singhal addressed the audience saying, “After listening to Parvez Ahmed ready to fore go bank’s due in lieu of better employment package for local youth, I promise you that we shall be creating massive job opportunities for youth in the state, which we will; announce during the celebrating ceremony of our 15 years of partnership next year.”
