Decide to review bank’s relief policy
The J&K Bank Board of Directors expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy at the loss of four officers of the Bank who, while on their way to duty at business unit Pathankot, met with a tragic accident on February 13, 2017. In its meeting held today at Jammu, the Board observed two minutes silence as mark of respect to the departed officers and prayed for the endurance of bereaved families.
Subsequently the Board, while taking note of the extant compensation policy of the Bank to the families of the officers who pass away while in service, decided to review the compassionate relief policy of the Bank to align it with the best industry practices.
This, the board observed, cannot fill the void created by the loss of precious lives but shall enable the bereaved families to survive and sustain gracefully.
